Steve Davis’ Charity 1964 Ford Fairlane 500

This one-of-a-kind custom 1964 Fairlane 500 was born a rare K Code. It is currently modified with numerous one-of-a-kind custom components. Built by ROUSH Industries in Michigan and restored by the best technicians in the industry. This Fairlane was literally the poster child for the launch of the Sherwin-Williams, Planet Color, Barrett-Jackson Collector Color Series paints. This beauty is done in “Red Hot Chili Pepper” and debuted at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas 2009. It was unveiled at a huge media briefing at the Sherwin-Williams display by Steve Davis, Bobby Moody and NASCAR star Greg Biffel. The Fairlane then went on to be displayed at all of the Barrett-Jackson Events promoting the Barrett-Jackson Custom Color paints. Steve’s personal goal was to create a car that reflected “old school” horsepower and torque with state of the art technology and reliability. There was no expense spared on the build of this unique masterpiece. Powered by the famous ROUSH 427 IR V8 producing 522hp and 457ft/lb of torque going through a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed transmission with a McCloud dual disc clutch into a Moser/ROUSH 9″ custom rear end with a 3.70 gear ratio. The engine is fed through 8 stack throttle bodies and manifold, it has custom headers/side exhaust with an 8 quart “Road Race” front sump oil pan. It has “Red Hot Roush 427” custom valve covers, custom fender badges, custom Barrett-Jackson inserts in the body side moldings, air conditioning plus too much more to list here. The only miles since the completion of the restoration are the result of loading and unloading for display purposes.
